In the book, The Last Book in the Universe, the main character, Spaz, changes a lot throughout the book. At first, he is just a normal trying to make a living. He steals from people to get stuff and bring it back to the Bangers. There was one man named Ryter who he was about to steal from, who made Spaz think a little. He decided to not steal from the man. Throughout the story, Spaz grows closer to Ryter. Spaz changed throughout the story by not stealing from people all the time.
There are many themes shown throughout the story. Some themes include cooperation and determination. Spaz was determined to help Bean and he had to cooperate with Ryter and Little Face. Overall and in my opinion, The Last Book in the Universe was a very powerful journey that ended somewhat well.
